Why this exists
n8n is good at telling you a run failed. It has no way to tell you a run never happened, because a run that never happened leaves nothing behind to look at.
Obsevo is the second system that notices. That is the whole idea, and everything else followed from it.
The stage it is at
Obsevo is pre-1.0 and pre-launch. It is built, it works, and it is not yet a product with a customer base and a support organisation behind it. This site tries hard to say which is which — where something is not enforced, not certified or not finished, it is written down rather than implied away.
If you are evaluating it, the honest recommendation is to connect one instance on the free tier and leave it alone for a week. It costs nothing and tells you more than any page here can — either something was failing quietly, or nothing was.
Why the free tier is not crippled
Because it is both the trust story and the top of the funnel, and damaging it to drive upgrades would break both. Detection quality in particular is never gated: missed runs and green-but-broken are the reason to choose Obsevo at all, so paywalling them would make the free tier a worse product rather than a smaller one.
What the paid plans sell is scale — more instances, longer history, more volume — and the operational surface built on top. That is a real thing to pay for, and it does not require the free tier to be bad.
